Housekeeper Cleaning Time (Report)

 

Summary

With the release of Chorum Mobile, hotels can now require housekeeping staff to track time spent on individual requests via the mobile app using the timer function. Once the request has been saved, any time on the clock is added to the time displayed on this report for each housekeeper that uses the function. This report, also called the HCT report, aims to provide hotels a means of monitoring housekeeper activity and seeing if any are spending longer than necessary on individual rooms. The exact usage, of course, is up to your hotel’s discretion.

The below report was printed using a single-day range, with a cleaning time threshold of 4 minutes. The report can be printed over any previous date range to the present business date in Chorum (you cannot print the report for future dates). You can also set the “Cleaning Time Threshold” filter, which will change the color of any times over the set threshold to red. This is explained more below.

Expand each of the below items as needed for more information on a given column:

  • ClosedHousekeeper The list of housekeepers tracked on the report. A housekeeper will only be listed if they have at least one room where they used the timer for one or more seconds.
  • ClosedRoom# This column lists each room worked by the housekeeper, provided the timer has been used for one or more seconds when working on the assignment.
  • ClosedRT The abbreviated room type code of the associated room.
  • ClosedDate & Time The printed date, using DD-Mon format (for example, in the above figure it is 11-Jun, meaning the 11th of June). The time for each room’s completion will be listed below, with a final total and average listed at the bottom of the report. If the “cleaning time threshold” filter has been set for this report, you will see that any individual rooms that went over the threshold (as well as the average per room at the bottom) will switch to red to indicate they took longer than the set threshold.
